Question: Please provide information about the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting which will be held in Singapore in the coming time and who will represent Vietnam in this meeting?
Answer:
Vietnam is following very closely activities to overcome cyclone Nargis in Myanmar and is willing to cooperate with international community in general and ASEAN countries in particular to help the people of Myanmar get through this difficult time and stabilize their lives.
At the request of Singapore, Chairman of ASEAN, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pham Gia Khiem will attend the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting on May 19, 2008 for discussion on assists Myanmar to overcome the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis with other ASEAN countries.
