In response to question from the media regarding Viet Nam’s reaction to the killing of Osama bin Laden, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nguyen Phuong Nga said:

“Viet Nam objects terrorism and condemns acts of terror in any form. Terrorists must be responsible and severely punished for their acts. 

In line with the United Nations Charter and basic principles of international law, Vietnam continues to join the international community in the fight to eliminate terrorism.”
