Remarks by MOFA Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang on the Manchester blast

(MOFA) - Remarks by MOFA Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang on the alleged terror attack on May 22nd in Manchester (UK) which caused many dead and injured:

Viet Nam would like to convey the deepest condolences to the Government, people of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland and families of the victims of the May 22nd blast.

Viet Nam strongly condemns all acts of terrorist attacks in all forms and holds that these acts must be severely punished.

Immediately after the incident happened, under instructions of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam,  the Embassy of Viet Nam in the UK urgently contacted with British authorities to update the situation. It was informed that no Vietnamese citizen had been identified as the blast’s victim. The Embassy has been working with the British authorities and closely following up the situation to timely take protection measures for Vietnamese citizens in need of help.
