Nation to host ASEAN meeting on rural development
Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem on Aug. 25 gave the go-ahead to a plan to convene the 6th ASEAN ministerial meeting on rural development and poverty reduction in Vietnam in 2009.
According to the Government Office, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was assigned to cooperate with relevant ministries and agencies to work out a project for organising the event in accordance with Vietnam’s regulations and the ASEAN’s normal practice.
