The PM applauded the developments in the two nations’ cooperative relations, especially in fields of economics and trade. In 2011, two-way trade turnover between the two countries doubled that in 2010.

Stressing on the potentials and advantages of bilateral cooperation, PM Dung asserted the consistent policy pursued by Viet Nam is to try its best to push up bilateral relations more effectively.

He hoped that Eastern Uruguay will recognize Viet Nam as a market economy and support each other in international and regional forums.

The PM invited Eastern Uruguay to attend the Ministerial meeting between Viet Nam and Latin America in the future.

The Ambassador said he will cooperate with relevant Vietnamese ministries and agencies to launch projects suggested by the PM and boost promotion activities of cooperative programs especially in the fields of economics, trade, investment, culture and education.

Mr. Carlos Irigaray assured that Eastern Uruguay always creates favorable conditions to enable Vietnamese products to penetrate into its market and then other markets in South America.
