Vietnam and Australia enjoyed a fine traditional relations of friendship and multi-faceted cooperation. The two countries officially established diplomatic relations on 26 February, 1973. Since then, the bilateral relations have become closer, broadened in scope and deepened in specific fields. The decision of the Vietnamese government to open the Embassy in Australia was a vivid manifestation of that fine relations as well as the importance Vietnam has attached to Vietnam –Australia relations.

The Embassy of Vietnam in Australia serves as the focal point and the bridge, bringing Vietnam and Australia together. We are also available to facilitate the Vietnamese community in Australia to better integrate into the finish society and at the same increase their linkage to their motherland –Vietnam. We sincerely hope that the Website will bring you useful information about the country and people of Vietnam.
