More than two decades of Doimoi (Renovation) process has brought about tremendous accomplishments to Vietnam, notably dynamic and burgeoning economy, political and social stability and a constant improvement in the people´s life. Vietnam pursues a foreign policy of openness and active global integration. It is a member of the United Nations, ASEAN, ASEM, WTO and numerous regional and international organizations, playing an increasingly important role in the region as well as the world at large. With the age - old and exotic culture, beautiful landscape and attractive diversity, Vietnam has become a favorite travel destination for foreign tourists to discover . Our people have been working hard with strong determination to transform Vietnam into an industrialized and modernized country by the year 2020.
Vietnam and Denmark entertain the traditional friendship for many decades now. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1971, relationship between Vietnam and Denmark has grown in strength and depth in practically all sectors ranging from trade, investment, development assistance, agriculture and fishery, environment to cultural and educational exchange. This cooperation has brought about significant results and concrete benefits. Over the recent years, the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark has been developing in a rapid pace and now are embraced with the prospects for a stronger growth in the years to come.
