Located in South East Asia, Viet Nam boasts a thousands-year history, a unique and diverse culture. More than 85 million Vietnamese people from 54 different ethnicities are hard-working, open and friendly people.
Today, Viet Nam continues to strongly push forward the process of renovation and international integration, recording enormous achievements in all economic, political, cultural and social areas, etc with a view to become a basically industrial and modern country by the year 2020.
Viet Nam and the United Kingdom established diplomatic relations in 1993. In recent years, the friendship and cooperation between the two countries have seen new important developments and both countries are committed to elevate the bilateral ties to a higher plane in the interest of the two peoples.
