TET FESTIVAL WITH VIETNAMESE COMMUNITY IN PANAMA

Amid the warm welcome to the Lunar traditional New Year, on 13th February 2010 (which is the last day of the Lunar Year), The Vietnamese Embassy in Panama held a cordial meeting to celebrate the Tết of the New Year of the Tiger. Present at the event were the Embassy staff, the Vietnamese businessmen and all the Vietnamese nationals living and working in Panama together with their family members and several Panamanian close friends of the Embassy.

In the warm jubilant and warm atmosphere of the New Spring Day, Ambassador Hoàng Công Thuý in the name of the Embassy extended wishes to the Vietnamese community in Panama, reviewed the achievements of great significance recorded by Vietnam over 2009 to which  important contributions were made by the overseas Vietnamese community in general and the one in Panama in particular and pointed out that their thoughts towards the native land strongly affirmed the truth: “The overseas Vietnamese is an integral part and resource of the entire community of the Vietnamese nation”. The Ambassador emphasized the the Vietnamese Embassy in Panama has always been the sweet home to the Vietnamese community in Panama and the Embassy staff will continue to do the best to support the Vietnamese businessmen and the Vietnamese nationals in their efforts to be successful in contribution to the enhancement of mutual understanding and friendship relations between Vietnam and Panama, especially in 2010 which is the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic relations between the two countries. The ambassador expressed thanks to the Panama-Vietnam Association and Panamanian friends for their support in 2009 to the activities taken by the Embassy.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere filled with warm feelings for the Fatherland.
