Lao students study at Hue University

A total of 145 Lao students are studying at Hue University in central Thua Thien-Hue province under cooperation programmes between the two countries and Lao provinces, said a university official.

Tran Xuan An, who is in charge of students affairs at Hue University, said Lao students are hard working and eager to join cultural and sports events.

The Thua Thien - Hue Provincial People’s Committee is planning to build a boarding house for Lao students in 2008. The project, with an investment capital of more than 9.9 billion VND (623,000 USD) can accommodate 180 students.

Founded in 1957, Hue University has seven member schools, one faculty, and eight training and research centres, employing 1,500 staff.-(VNA)
