ASSOCIATION OF ALUMNI STUDYING IN THE SOCIALIST COUNTRIES FROM VERAGUAS PROVINCE RESOLUTION IN SOLIDARITY WITH HEROIC VIETNAMESE PEOPLE
August 10th 2011 will mark 50 years of AGENT ORANGE DISASTER IN VIETNAM. This event is a disgrace for humanity, because the US used planes to spray onto the land of Vietnam, causing devastating consequences to more than 3 million hectares of forests, rice paddies and serious consequences to more than 5 million people who were exposed to the toxic chemical. Despite the passage of time, thousands of hundreds of people are still suffering the consequences of the brutality perpetrated by the forces of imperialism.
The students who studied in the socialist countries before from Veraguas through this Resolution want to express solidarity with the traumatic family circumstances and tragedy of the victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam.
We are opposing the U.S. biological warfare deployed against the people of Vietnam.
We respond to the call by the Ambassador of the Republic Socialist of Vietnam in Panama, extend our support for and solidarity with victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.
Viva solidarity with Vietnam!
Viva solidarity between the people of Vietnam and the people of Panama!
