State audit representatives from Vietnam and Hungary gathered at a seminar in Hanoi on September 5.
Pr. Le Huy Trong, Head of the International Relations Department under Vietnam’s State Audit said the seminar aims to promote cooperation among auditing agencies of Vietnam and Hungary. Especially, through the seminar, Vietnam’s state audit will gain experience of Hungary in formulating and auditing state budget.
Mr Trong also emphasised the significance of cooperation in auditing as Hungary has a long-standing auditing sector, which was established in 1870. Hungary is one of the countries, which has successfully conducted auditing work on the state budget.
Mr Trong added that auditing agencies of both countries will sign a cooperation agreement in auditing in the first quarter of 2008 and organise seminars to share experiences in auditing and exchange auditing officers between the two countries.
Delegates at the seminar are expected to discuss other issues related to the auditing work of both countries. Especially, the seminar will make conclusions on how to begin implementing auditing work on the state budget in Vietnam. (VOV)
