Vietnamese businesses hope to do business at Belgium's Autumn Fair

(VNA) - As many as 50 Vietnamese businesses are showcasing their products at the 50th Autumn Fair 2006 which opened in Liege in the Wallonne region of Belgium, on Sept. 23.

The Vietnamese businesses, which are operating in the processing of farm and forest products, foodstuffs, and the production of fine art handicrafts, are accompanied by a number of businesspeople who came to seek trade partners and conduct market surveys.

Present at the opening ceremony, the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Diep Kinh Tan expressed hope that cooperation between Viet Nam and Belgium, especially in trade, would benefit from the exchange.

On behalf of the fair organising board, the Vice Permanent Governor of Liege province said he expected Belgian and Vietnamese enterprises to do business in the fields of economics, trade, agriculture and forestry during this fair.
A Viet Nam-Belgium business seminar is planned for Sept. 25, while the fair is in progress.

Participation of Vietnamese businesses in the Autumn Fair in Liege forms part of the programme "Vietnamese Days in Belgium" being held by the Vietnamese embassy in Belgium together with other concerned ministries and agencies during this month./.
