Lao, Vietnamese youth celebrate HCM Communist Youth Union's founding anniversary
(VNA) - Lao and Vietnamese students sang and dance at a get-together in Vientiane on March 25 to celebrate the 76 th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26).
The event was jointly conducted by the Lao Peoples Revolutionary Youth Union (LPRYU) of the Lao National University and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union branch of the Vietnamese students studying at the university.
Addressing the get-together, LPRYU Central Committee Secretary Khamphanh Sithidampha said that the event has a profound meaning, showing the Lao and Vietnamese young peoples loyalty and thankfulness towards the Parties, the people and predecessors who had made glorious history and great sacrifice for the revolutionary cause of the two nations.
On behalf of the Lao youth, he also vowed to maintain the long-lasting tradition and continue to work for the national construction and defence, as well as for the closer friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Viet Nam./.
