NA Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong receives President of Japan – Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance
At a reception for President Tsutomu Takebe in Tokyo on Jan. 11, Phong highly valued the support and effective operation of JVFPA, which groups members of both the Democratic Party of Japan and the Liberal Democratic Party in the Japanese legislative body.
She said she hopes Japan will expand its support to Viet Nam in infrastructure development, besides to supporting industry, science and technology research and agriculture.
Takebe affirmed that Japan-Viet Nam relations are developing at the highest level, adding that the alliance is doing its utmost to enhance exchanges with Vietnamese leaders and people.
On Jan. 12, NA Vice Chairwoman Phong is scheduled to attend the closing ceremony of the 20 th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) and the signing ceremony of the new Tokyo Declaration, a document of significance in orienting APPF development./.
