Businesses warm up for ASEAN Forum in Hanoi
Opportunities for investment and cooperation, particularly in electricity, electronics and allied industries, topped the agenda of a meeting between Vietnamese and Thai businesses in Hanoi on August 22.
Discussions were focused on pre-activities for the first ASEAN Capitals Business Forum, to be hosted by the Hanoi Business Association (HBA) in the capital on October 15-16.
HBA chairman Nguyen Hong Son briefed the Thai delegation led by Dr Katiya Greigarn, chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI)’s Electricial, Electronics and Allied Industries Club (EEAIC) on the forum schedule.
Mr. Son said Thailand would have its two most successful companies registered for the ASEAN Golden Cups awards.
Chairman Katiya said his delegation’s working trip to the country aimed to seek further cooperation with leading Vietnamese businesses such as Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), the Hanoi Electronics Corporation (Hanel) and others.
Thai businesses attending the working session included KV Electronic Assemble Co.Ltd, ECO Design Construction Co., Banchong MITR Co., Planet Communications Asia Co., and Electrical & Electronics Institute. (VOV)
