Viet Nam joins int’l book fair in Russia
(VNA - 08/09/2011) - Two Vietnamese units have joined more than 1,500 publishers from over 50 countries around the world at the 24 th International Book Fair that opened in Moscow , Russia , on Sept. 7.
The Publication Department and the Viet Nam National Corporation for the Export and Import of Books, Periodicals and Other Cultural Commodities brought some 200 books about President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Hanoi capital city’s 1000-year culture, and women, history, culture and landscapes of Viet Nam to the fair.
Nguyen Ngoc Bao, Deputy Director of the Publication Department, said through the event, the Vietnamese delegation wants to introduce the land and people of Viet Nam to readers in Russia and other countries.
The annual event serves as a chance for publishing houses and book distributors to share experience in publishing. This year’s fair will be open to visitors until Sept. 11./.
