Viet Nam, Tanzania want to boost Party cooperation

Ha Noi (VNA) - The Parties of Viet Nam and Tanzania need to enhance their cooperation by further exchanging information and experiences, thus contributing to the development of the friendship and all-round cooperation between the two countries, said Vietnamese and Tanzanian leaders.

At their meeting in Ha Noi on Thursday, Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and visiting Tanzanian President Benjamin William Mkapa expressed their hope for further bilateral ties in the interests of each country and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world at large.

The Vietnamese Party leader welcomed President Mkapa's visit and thanked the Tanzanian State and people for their sentiments towards Viet Nam's struggle for national independence, construction  and defence. He stressed the importance of promoting relations between Viet Nam and Tanzania and between Viet Nam and other African countries.

Manh accepted the Tanzanian President's invitation to visit Tanzania with pleasure.

President Mkapa briefed his host of the fine results of talks and meetings with Vietnamese leaders. He spoke highly of the policies and leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam as well as the creativeness and industriousness of the Vietnamese people. He also praised Viet Nam's achievements in the renewal process and national construction and development.
