Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore presents credentials
The newly-posted Vietnamese ambassador to Singapore has pledged to bolster ties while meeting the lion-state’s president Sellapan Rama Nathan on September 27.
At the meeting, held after the guest presented his credentials, ambassador Nguyen Trung Thanh reiterated Viet Nam’s policy of expanding cooperation with foreign countries, particularly countries that are members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The diplomat went on to say that Viet Nam appreciates the development in the friendship the two countries enjoy as well as the support provided by Singapore over the recent past.
For his part, the Singaporean president spoke highly of exchanges of high-level visits by leaders of the two countries, which he said have paved the way to broaden their cooperation.-(VNA)
