Ambassador presents credentials to Queen Elizabeth II
Tran Quang Hoan, new Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, presented the credentials to Queen Elizabeth II in London on November 1.
The diplomat was then given a reception by the Queen where he talked about the ongoing developments in Viet Nam, the cooperation between Viet Nam and the UK and pledged to do his best to further promote the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Queen Elizabeth II said she was happy to hear about Viet Nam’s achievements and prospects for the relationship between the UK and the Southeast Asian country and that she would want to visit the country someday.
On the occasion, the Queen also asked the diplomat to convey her sympathy to flood victims in the central region of Viet Nam.-(VNA)
