State President extends condolences over air crash in Russia
(VGP – 09/09/2011) - State President Truong Tan Sang on Friday extended his condolences to Russian President D. Medvedev, over a recent plane crash.

The plane crash leaves forty three passengers dead |
Local media say a Yak-42D jet carrying one of Russia’s best hockey teams, Lokomotiv, crashed in Yaroslavl (270 km from Moscow) yesterday.
Of the 45 people on board, only a flight engineer and one player survived but still remain in critical conditions, a Health Ministry official said on Friday.
The plane was heading for Minsk, where Lokomotiv was to play against the local club Dynamo as part of the Continental Hockey League (CHL) championship.
Russian aviation officials have yet to determine the cause of the accident. They say the investigation into the crash of the Yak-42 plane could last a week.
