National Day celebrated in Malaysia, Belarus, Netherlands


The Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia hosted a reception on Sept. 6 to celebrate the country’s 62nd National Day (September 2).

Addressing the function, the Vietnamese chargé d’affaires to Malaysia, Do Thien Hanh, thanked international friends and overseas Vietnamese for their cooperation with, assistance to and support for the country’s development.

Speaking at the function, Malaysian Foreign Minister Hamid Albar said he hoped that the cooperation and partnership between Malaysia and Viet Nam will constantly develop.

On the occasion of the 62nd National Day, the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus held a reception on Sept. 4. The event was attended by Belorussian Defence Minister Leonid Maltsev, Deputy Foreign Minister V. Gaisenak, and other senior officials from Belorussian government, and representatives from foreign diplomatic delegations in Minsk.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Gaisenak expressed his wish to fortify the multi-faceted cooperation between Belarus and Viet Nam.

The Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands also held a get-together to celebrate the country’s National Day, drawing close to 350 representatives from Dutch governmental agencies and Vietnamese nationals living in the country.

Speaking at the gathering, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ha Huy Thong highlighted the significance of the National Day and the achievements that Viet Nam made over the past years. He also noted measures to bolster the relations between the two countries in the coming time.-(VNA)
