Thailand plans to expand investment in Viet Nam

(VNA) -Thailand praised Viet Nam's potential for economic development and wants to expand investment and export, particularly farm produce, motor spare parts and consumer goods, to the country.

Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Industry Minister, Suriya Chungrungruangkit, is leading a delegation, comprised of representatives from the Investment Committee and the Industrial Property Department, on a visit to Viet Nam from August 3-6, to study the market and explore investment opportunities in Viet Nam .

According to the statistics, in the first five months of this year, Thailand exported about 1.14 billion USD worth of goods to Viet Nam , an increase of 41 percent over the same period last year.

Thailand mainly exports automobile and motor spare parts, sport equipment, computers, and garment and textiles./.
