Vietnam committed to fulfilling OIF’s targets

The 23rd ministerial meeting of the International Organization of Francophone’s (OIF) opened in the Vientiane capital of Laos on Nov. 20 with 68 delegations from 55 member countries and observer countries taking part. A Vietnamese delegation led by Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong attended the meeting.

On behalf of the Vietnamese delegation, Minister Ha Hung Cuong showed his pleasure at the stable and steady development of the community in actively participating in resolving global issues.

He hailed the OIF’s efforts in implementing the decisions put forward at the 21st ministerial meeting of OIF in the Madagascar.

On this occasion, Minister Ha Hung Cuong conveyed his thanks to OIF General Secretary and all the OIF countries for supporting Vietnam in becoming a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2008-2009 term.

The minister also committed the country to actively contributing to carrying out targets set by the United Nations as well as Francophone, to maintain peace and international security and promote the development and prosperity of all nations. (CPV)
