In an interview recently granted to the press, the minister spoke in details about the outcomes reached during the president’s visits, which took place last week.

Minh confirmed that during talks, Hungarian and Danish leaders praised Viet Nam’s role in Southeast Asia and thought of the country as a priority cooperative partner.

In Hungary, both sides issued a joint statement and announced important political regulations that will serve as the foundation of their long-lasting friendship and future cooperation.

The President’s Danish visit was of historic significance, as the two countries signed a joint statement declaring the establishment of their comprehensive partnership. Minh noted that this means ties will advance to the next level, benefiting both nations.

A series of important cooperation deals in security, wind power, sustainable aquaculture and education and training were reached, among others, forming a legal bedrock for deeper and broader links between Viet Nam and the two European countries in these fields.

The FM said one particular highlight was the promotion of economic, trade and investment ties. President Sang talked with Danish politicians and business leaders major directions in lifting two-way trade and diversifying export items.

In both countries, he voiced his support for the continued implementation of projects funded by foreign investors and official development assistance in Viet Nam.

Denmark reiterated its commitment to developing a market expansion strategy in Viet Nam, one of only 10 potential economies it has chosen for the scheme.

Business forums which ran during the State visit also drew numerous enterprises exploring investment and export-import opportunities.

Many of them declared interest in the Vietnamese market, an attractive business destination. Vietnamese firms also struck deals with Danish partners in varied fields such as construction material, green hi-tech application and finance and banking.

Meanwhile, both Hungary and Denmark agreed to work closely with Viet Nam at regional and global forums, notably meetings of the United Nations and the Asia-Europe Meeting.

They expressed their support for Viet Nam’s growing relationship with the European Union (EU) through the Viet Nam-EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement and the Viet Nam-EU free trade agreement.

The Minister concluded the interview by saying that thanks to a string of signed cooperation deals and strong political will, it is highly likely that relations between Viet Nam and Hungary and Denmark will blossom in the years ahead.
