PM receives German ambassador

VGP - PM Nguyen Tan Dung has noted that Viet Nam-Germany strategic partnership has seen radical developments as Germany has become a leading trade partner and investor in Viet Nam.

PM Dung made the statement during a reception for outgoing German ambassador to Viet Nam Jutta Frasch in Ha Noi on August 3.

He stressed that the two countries’ cooperation potential is great, thus both sides should continue to tap the potential for cooperation and development targets.

The government leader spoke highly of the diplomat’s contributions to enhancing bilateral cooperation during his mission in Viet Nam, particularly activities supporting German businesses to seek and realize investment and business opportunities in the country.

He affirmed Viet Nam’s consistent policy on continuing to implement effectively the strategic partnership in all aspects for both countries’ interests and development and urged both sides to better cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, investment, culture, education, science, technology, tourism, security and national defence.

PM Dung expressed his hope that the diplomat will continue to make further contributions to boosting the sound friendship between the two countries in any posts in the future

Frasch expressed his pleasure with positive results of bilateral relations, bringing in practical benefits to both nations’ development. He affirmed Germany’s policy on attaching importance to developing cooperation with Viet Nam and supporting the country to boost relations with member countries of the European Union.

The ambassador also wanted Viet Nam to continue creating favorable conditions for German businesses to invest and do business effectively in Viet Nam.

During the reception, PM Dung and Frasch discussed measures to boost projects on building the Viet Nam-Germany University and the German House in Viet Nam.
