2nd ASEM Senior Officials' Meeting (ASEM SOM2) for the 12th ASEM Summit (ASEM12)
(ASEM Infoboard - 14/9/2018) ASEM Senior Officials' Meeting (ASEM SOM2) for the 12th ASEM Summit (ASEM12) took place on 13-14 Sep at Tokyo, Japan.The meeting reported on the outcome of the APGC5 that took place in the morning of 13 September and further prepared for the upcoming ASEM12 on 18-19 October, in Brussels Belgium.
The 2nd Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) ASEM took place in Tokyo, Japan from 13-14 September 2018, in preparation for the 12 ASEM Summit (Brussels, 18 - October 19, 2018).
Before the Meeting, the 5th session of the ASEM Working Group on Connectivity and the "ASEM Workshop on Sustainable Connectivity and High Quality Infrastructure" was held (September 12) to discuss cooperation on connectivity within ASEM.
At the meeting, Cambodia announced their role as host of the 13th ASEM Summit in 2020 and was supported by ASEM members. The meeting also agreed on a number of important activities in the coming year, including the 14th ASEM Foreign Ministerial Meeting (Spain), 7th Education Ministerial Meeting (Romania, 5/2019), 5th Transportation Ministerial Meeting(Hungary).
