Consular visit to Doan Thi Huong by the Embassy of Viet Nam and her lawyer.

In the morning of March 29, 2017, representative of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Malaysia made a consular visit to Doan Thi Huong in Kajang prison and introduce Lawyer Hisyam Teh Poh Teik, one of the two lawyers who will be legal representatives of Doan Thi Huong and defend her along the legal proceedings in Malaysia.  With the consent of Doan Thi Huong and her family and the coordination of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Malaysia and the Viet Nam Bar Association, Lawyer Hisyam Teh Poh Teik and Lawyer Naran Singh are arranged to defend Doan Thi Huong.
Mr. Hisyam Teh Poh Teik is commended by the Malaysia Bar as one of the top lawyers in penal laws. Mr. Naran Singh is known as an experienced lawyer in penal cases.
The lawyers viewed this special case with their utmost attention and pledged to provide the best legal assistance to defend Doan Thi Huong.
During the visit, Doan Thi Huong informed that her health was stable and the treatment was in good order. She pledged to cooperate with the lawyers.
