Vietnamese, Chinese officials talk socialist theories

The sharing of theory and practical experiences on socialism and Party building will contribute greatly to promoting mutual understanding and trust between the two Parties and two countries of Viet Nam and China .

This was voiced by Li Changchun, a Politburo member of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and To Huy Rua, Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee during their meeting in Beijing on July 31, after a seminar on socialist theories in Guizhou province.

Li Changchun highly valued Viet Nam 's gains and experiences from the renewal process and reiterated China 's resolve to further boost the friendship and time-honoured cooperation with its neighbour.

He expressed his pleasure that the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries is growing fruitfully for the benefits of the people.

For his part, To Huy Rua said he was impressed with the immense achievements China had recorded in the past three decades pursuing its open-door policy.

Rua, who is also Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Theory Council, told his Chinese host that Vietnamese theorists have highly valued the lessons drawn by their Chinese counterparts from reform and open-door road.

He emphasised that the organisation of seminars on socialist theories, provides a venue for the two countries' experts to discuss new issues and combine their knowledge for the construction of socialism.
To Huy Rua led a delegation from the CPV to a seminar on socialist theories in Guiyang , capital of China 's southwestern Guizhou province on July 28-30.

The seminar, the third of its kind, brought together 100 delegates with discussions focused on the continued development and construction of a harmonious socialist society.

Both Vietnamese and Chinese experts and Party officials shared the view that the choice for socialism of the two countries is the correct course of action.

They agreed on the real need for harmonious social and economic development in the course of constructing socialism in each country but how to achieve it would depend on each country's specific conditions and circumstance.

The next seminar on this theme will be held in Viet Nam. (VNA)
